Back .....

Yes I am back and some things never change! Yes I am still on my weight loss journey, or more rightly another weight loss journey cause I put most of what I lost back on again!

So I hear you cry what you are doing now?! Well since January I have been doing freedom eating combined with 5:2 diet, plus using a Bodyblade (more to come on that) and have lost 29lbs not to mention inches galore but without paying out each week, being told off and getting upset.  I have a fabulous support network via Facebook too. There's lots of stuff there I guess many of you don't understand but am not going to do a huge post on here right now, that will bore you to tears all in one hit.

So why am I back? It's all down to me being asked by so many people for advice on cooking, recipes etc not only through work but also on the Facebook forum I am on where the lovely people there support me. Today's question was about Miso and what to do with this wonderful healthy product so whilst I have done a quick answer on there I will endeavour in a future post to demystify this ingredient and also offer hints, tips and recipes, even recommendations about things to try and possibly NOT to try!

So if all this has whetted your appetite stop by again plus let me know what you would like to know!

Sooooooo

here I am FOUR stone lighter and feeling like a new woman!!  Wearing clothes I never thought I would and loving it!!!  Still going to keep going tho cause want to have a healthy BMI!!!

Weightwatchers update!!

Well another week and another weigh in - lost another 4lbs so have now lost over half a stone at 7.5 lbs which means I got my silver 7!!!

Found that I am eating a lot more apples and other fresh fruit but have to say that tip of the week this week is when you are full - STOP eating!!!  Sounds easy doesn't it LOL!  We went to a carvery last week which was really good as lots of veggies but had planned for a dessert as well - when it came to it I really wondered if the points were worth it and as I was full anyway went without one!!! 

All in all feeling very pleased with myself I have to say

Weight Watchers

Well we did it last week and a friend and I have joined Weightwatchers!  One week in and I have lost three and a half pounds and no I am NOT sharing with you all how much I have to lose except to say that this is going to be a marathon and NOT a sprint LOL!

They have a new system now for counting the points called Propoints and the best part is that fruit now has a zero point value so will be keeping the fruit bowl full!  Hubby is following the plan as well and has lost 3lbs this week with a total of 10 now since cutting back in January - watch this space for the incredible shrinking couple and we will try and share hints and tips with other WWs out there as well.

So ..........  what is my tip of the week?  Meringue nests!  Just had one with just half a pot (75g) of natural yogurt and some frozen mixed berries (defrosted) and it was just yummy and felt like a real indulgence so we will be having more of these.

DONE!!!


Yes I cannot believe it either but I have actually completed my January Mini Book!  Well sort of in that I need to get DH and DD to write down their hopes for 2011 so that I can add them to the book.  Have to say it is a great book to make and so easy to put together!  Sorry that there is not very much to show but love the fact that I have been able to use some beautiful envelopes I had been given and not know what to do with them.

 Thanks so much Karen for doing this and best of all I have not bought any more stash!!!!!  Here's to Love in February ..............  still working on that one but have a few options so should not be a problem :)!

Fallen at the first!!!

Yes here we are at the end of January and I have not managed to do my first mini book! Still on a positive note the house is much much tidier and we are all taking part in keeping that way AND improving upon it week by week so here's to a nice clean start to 2011 - just need to get the book done before I am due to start for Feb now and get myself a bit slimmer too!!! LOL!  Just hope that everyone is having more luck with their mini a month!

New Beginnings

OK so I have now figured out what I am going to do for this month for my mini book this month without really thinking about it.  New beginning are going to be to have a (reasonably) tidy house by getting everyone else at home on board with it too (shame I cannot include the kitties in that LOL!) and although everyone says this I really want this year to be one that I end a bit fitter and slimmer. I had back problems late last year and basically if I don't do these things then it is going to keep coming back so I really need to hit these goals!!!
